About Us

The Rivalazzo estate extends over 75 hectares and includes numerous buildings once used as stables, accommodation for employees and the dairy where Parmigiano Reggiano was produced. Currently the land is used for rotational crops of tomatoes, durum and soft wheat, soy, sunflowers and tomatoes.
At the centre of the property an eighteenth-century manor house is the owner´s residence. Some rustic buildings, partly renovated, are inhabited all year round. At the edges of the property there is only countryside, no visible buildings, except for the structures of a horse farm, known throughout Europe, on the western border.

Walking through the property it is easy to come across hares, pheasants, partridges and many other animals. In the absolute silence of the night you can hear little owls, scops owls and crickets. In late spring the darkness comes alive with fireflies.
An ideal environment for bike rides.

The former farmer´s house was renovated in 2009 and converted into agritourism, with particular attention to the environment: solar panels for water heating and low-energy light bulbs for lighting. The Tenuta Rivalazzo agritourism offers 6 colorful double rooms, all with private bathroom. One room, on the ground floor, is accessible to disabled people.
